Description
Fibrinogen γ-chain dodecapeptide binds glycoprotein GP IIb/IIIa on platelets, exhibiting hemostatic, pro-thrombotic activity and enhancing thrombus formation. This peptide rescues thrombocytopenic rabbits from liver hemorrhage and is clinically used as a platelet substitute.
