product data sheet

Anti-Bonzo (NT2) Antibody

ORDERING INFORMATION

Catalog No.: 2209

Size: 100 ug IgG in PBS, pH 7.4, purified by immunoaffinity chroma- tography.

BACKGROUND

Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) require coreceptors in addition to CD4 to infect target cells. Some G protein-coupled receptors in the chemokine receptor family, including CCR5, CXCR4, CCR3, and CCR2b,

have previously been identified as HIV coreceptors. An orphan G protein- coupled receptor designated Bonzo was recently cloned and identified as a HIV- 1 and -2 and SIV coreceptor (also called STRL33 and TYMSTR). The

messenger RNA for Bonzo is expressed in lymphoid tissues and activated peripheral blood lymphocytes.
