Anti-Bonzo (NT2) AntibodyORDERING INFORMATION
Catalog No.: 2209
Size: 100 ug IgG in PBS, pH 7.4, purified by immunoaffinity chroma- tography.
BACKGROUNDHuman immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV) require coreceptors in addition to CD4 to infect target cells. Some G protein-coupled receptors in the chemokine receptor family, including CCR5, CXCR4, CCR3, and CCR2b,
have previously been identified as HIV coreceptors. An orphan G protein- coupled receptor designated Bonzo was recently cloned and identified as a HIV- 1 and -2 and SIV coreceptor (also called STRL33 and TYMSTR). The
messenger RNA for Bonzo is expressed in lymphoid tissues and activated peripheral blood lymphocytes.
SPECIFICATION SUMMARYAntigen: Peptide corresponding to aa 11-25 at the N-terminus of human Bonzo. The sequence of this peptide differs from those of African green monkey and macaque by one or two amino acids, respectively.
Host Species: Rabbit
Stabilizers: None
Preservatives: 0.02% sodium azide.
SPECIFICITYThis antibody recognizes human Bonzo (40 kD).
APPLICATIONSImmunoblotting: use at 1:500 dilution. Positive control: Tissue lysate of human spleen.
DILUTION INSTRUCTIONSDilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.
STORAGE AND STABILITYThis antibody is stable for at least one
(1) year at -20oC. Avoid multiple freeze- thaw cycles.
