Mabtech/anti-canine IFN-γ mAb MT166, biotinylated/3113-6-250/250 µg
Monoclonal antibody specific for IFN-γ

This monoclonal antibody enables sensitive and specific detection of canine (dog) Interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) in immunoassays such as ELISA and ELISpot.

We recommend MT166 as detection antibody in ELISA and ELISpot in combination with capture antibody MT13. See Related products.

Species cross-reactivity

The monoclonal antibody cross-reacts with IFN-γ from horse. See the Veterinary table

Analyte Information

IFN-γInterferon-γ (IFN-γ, also known as IFN-gamma, IFN-g, IFNg and Interferon-gamma) is produced mainly by activated T cells and NK cells. It is a proinflammatory cytokine that activates macrophages and endothelial cells, but it also regulates immune responses by effecting APC and T and B cells. Production of IFN-γ by helper T cells as well as cytotoxic T cells is a hallmark of the TH1-type phenotype, thus, high-level production of IFN-γ is typically associated with effective host defense against intracellular pathogens.

What can I say... Mabtech products are great. Optimized protocols, reproducible results. We use the ELISpot IFNg kits (human, primate, dog, rat) in routine for our research projects but also for our Gene Therapy Immunology platform. Julia, our sales contact, is amazing and very responsive. Christian helped us a lot for our reader using and so we we are finally launching into the FluoroSpot adventure!
