Description
Angiotensinogen is also known as \"renin substrate,” and is a precursor for all angiotensin peptides. Angiotensinogen is an α-2-globulin produced in the liver in response to estrogen, thyroid, or corticosteroid signaling. Angiotensinogen is cleaved by renin, producing angiotensin I (AT I).
