Batch No. | See product label |
Unit size | 5 µg |
Other Names | Neurotrophin 3; Neurotrophic factor; HDNF; Nerve growth factor 2; NGF-2; NTF2; NGF2; NT-3; |
Accession | P20783 NTF3_HUMAN; |
Produced in | Human - A DNA sequence encoding the human NT3 protein (containing the signal peptide and the mature NT3 sequence) was expressed in modified human 293 cells. |
Molecular Weight | The NT3 protein migrates at approximately 14-15 kDa in SDS-PAGE and has a predicted molecular mass of 13.6 kDa. NT3 separates into a number of isoforms with a pI from 6.6 to at least 10 in 2D PAGE due to post-translational modifications. The unmodified NT3 has a predicted pI of 9.2. |
Purity | >95%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and visualized by silver stain. |
Biol. activity | The ED50 of NT3 is typically 0.1-0.2 ng/ml as measured in a cell proliferation assay using a TrkB transfected PC12 cell line. |
Form | When reconstituted in 0.5 ml sterile phosphate-buffered saline, the solution will contain 1% human serum albumin (HSA) and 10% trehalose. |
Reconstitution | It is recommended that 0.5 ml of sterile phosphate-buffered saline be added to the vial. |
Storage | Lyophilized products should be stored at 2 to 8°C. Following reconstitution, short-term storage at 4°C is recommended and longer-term storage of aliquots at -18 to -20°C. Repeated freeze thawing is not recommended. |
