Nanocs/Biotin-PEG23-amine/B-P23A-1/5 mg

Description:

Biotin PEG amine is a pegylated biotin reagent that has a primary amine group. Pegylated biotin molecules have better water solubility and longer hydrophilic linker which is an advantage for protein or antibody biotinylation. Primary amine group can be used to react with amine reactive groups such as carboxyl (-COOH), aldehyde (-CHO), succinimidyl ester (NHS) and many others. The compound is also useful as an amine-alternative to native (carboxylate) biotin for assays and methods that require a biotin standard or blocking step.

Product Features:

  • Biotinylation– label molecules and surfaces for assay or affinity purification methods involving avidin or streptavidin probes and resins
  • Cell surface labeling– primary amine can be crosslinked to proteins and material surfaces using EDC and other crosslinkersBiotinylate and isolate cell surface glycoproteins
  • Aldehyde-reactive-amino biotinreacts with aldehydes formed by periodate-oxidation of sugar groups
