Recombinant Human Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist (rHuIL-1RA)ORDERING INFORMATION
Formulation: Sterile-filtered white lyophilized powder with no additives. Purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
BACKGROUNDInterleukin-1RA is a member of the Interleukin-1 (IL-1) cytokine family. It inhibits the activities of of IL-1 alpha and IL-1 beta and modulates a variety of IL- 1-related immune and inflammatory responses. A polymorphism of this gene is reported to be associated with an increased risk of osteoporotic fractures and gastric cancer.
DESCRIPTIONRecombinant human IL-1RA produced in E. coli is a non-glycosylated N- terminal methionyl form of the naturally- occurring polypeptide containing 153 amino acids with a molecular weight of 17kDa.
