BACKGROUND

Gentamicin is an antibiotic used to treat several types of bacterial infections including bone infections, endocarditis, pelvic inflammatory disease, meningitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and sepsis. Gentamicin was discovered in 1963 and is produced by Micromonospora purpurea. Gentamicin is on the World Health Organization\'s List of Essential Medicines.

SPECIFICATION SUMMARY

Antigen: Gentamicin conjugated to KLH.

Host Species: Mouse

Specificity: These antibodies recognize gentamicin.

APPLICATIONS

These antibodies have been qualified for use in ELISA to detect and gentamicin.

DILUTION INSTRUCTIONS

Dilute in PBS or medium that is identical to that used in the assay system.

STORAGE AND STABILITY

These antibodies are stable for at least one (1) year at -20oC to -70oC. Store product in appropriate aliquots to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
