BACKGROUND

Trypsin is a serine protease found in the digestive system of many vertebrates where it hydrolyses proteins. Trypsin cleaves peptide chains mainly at the carboxyl side of the amino acids lysine or arginine, except when either is followed by proline. Trypsin is formed in the small intestine when its proenzyme form, the trypsinogen produced by the pancreas, is activated.

Trypsin-1, also known as cationic trypsinogen, is the main isoform of trypsinogen secreted by the pancreas. Trypsin-2 is also known as anionic trypsinogen, and Trypsin-3 is also known as meso- trypsinogen.

SPECIFICATION SUMMARY

APPLICATIONS

These antibodies have been qualified for use in ELISA to detect human pancreatic trypsin.

DILUTION INSTRUCTIONS

Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.

STORAGE AND STABILITY

These antibodies are stable for at least one (1) year at -20oC to -70oC. Store product in appropriate aliquots to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

For in vitro investigational use only. Not for use in therapeutic or diagnostic procedures.
