BACKGROUND
HspA9, a memer of the Hsp70 family, encodes a heat-shock cognate protein that is involved in the control of cell proliferation and acts as a chaperone. HspA9 is located on chromosome 5, band q31, a region thatis often deleted in myeloid leukemias and myelodysplasia, making it a candidate tumor suppressor gene. HspA9 suppresses nuclear translocation, transcriptional activation, and control centrosome-duplication functions of p53.
DESCRIPTIONRecombinant human HspA9 produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide containing 654 amino acids (aa 47-679) with a molecular weight of 71kDa. It is expressed with a 20-amino acid His-tag at the N-terminus.

STORAGE AND STABILITYStore at 4oC if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store at or below - 20oC for longer periods of time. Addition of a carrier protein (such as 0.1% HSA or BSA is recommended for long-term storage.
