NormalHumanPeripheralBloodT-Cells,CD4,Cryopreserved,5millioncells/vialCryopreservedHumanPeripheralBloodMononuclearCells(PBMCs)areavailableaspositiveandnegativecontrolsforT-cellmonitoringinELISPOT,ELISA,cytokinebeadarray,tetramer/pentamer,andflowcytometryassays.Aperipheralbloodmononuclearcell(PBMC)isdefinedasanybloodcellwitharoundnucleus(i.e.alymphocyte,amonocyte,oramacrophage).Thesebloodcellsareacriticalcomponentintheimmunesystemtofightinfectionandadapttointruders.ThelymphocytepopulationconsistsofTcells,BcellsandNaturalKillercells.Thesecellsareoftenextractedfromwholebloodorfromleukopacksusingficoll,ahydrophilicpolysaccharidethatseparateslayersofblood,withmonocytesandlymphocytesformingabuffycoatunderalayerofplasma.SamplesfromeachdonoraretestedviaPCRtoconfirmnon-reactivity.
