DescriptionJanus kinase 2 is a human protein that has been implicated in signaling by members of the type II cytokine receptor family, the GM-CSF receptor family, the gp130 receptor family, and the single chain receptors. JAK2 is a member of a family of tyrosine kinases involved in cytokine receptor signaling. The gene encodes a 1,132-amino acid protein that shares 95% sequence similarity to rat and pig. It is associated with the prolactin receptor in that it is activated and tyrosine phosphorylated upon PRL binding to the PRL receptor. The N-terminal domain of JAK2 binds to EPOR in the endoplasmic reticulum and promotes its cell surface expression. It is present in the nucleus of hematopoietic cells and directly phosphorylates tyr41 on histone H3.Application NotesThe stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts.Titration of the JAK2 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity.ImmunogenAn amino acid sequence from the C-terminus of human JAK2 (DEIYMIMTECWNNNVNQR) was used as the immunogen for this JAK2 antibody.StorageAfter reconstitution, the JAK2 antibody can be stored for up to one month at4oC.For long-term, aliquot and store at -20oC.Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
