AT-406 (also called SM-406) is a potent Smac mimetic that inhibits the ubiquitin ligase activity of inhibitors of apoptosis proteins XIAP, cIAP1 and cIAP2 with Ki values of 66.4, 1.9 and 5.1 nM, respectively. AT-406 induces apoptosis of various human cancer cell lines.
