A family of resistin-like molecules (RELMs) has been identified in rodents and humans. Resistin is a hormone produced by fat cells. RELM beta is a secreted protein expressed only in the gastrointestinal tract, particularly the colon, in both mouse and human. RELM beta gene expression is highest in proliferative epithelial cells and is markedly increased in tumors, suggesting a role in intestinal proliferation.Applications: |Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: 1:500-1:1000Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
