BackgroundThe reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the subclasses IgG2a and IgG2b.The antiserum contains antibodies to iso and allospecific determinants. It does not react with other subclasses of IgG, IgG/Fab fragments, IgM and IgA or any non-Ig protein in mouse serum, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion. In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgG2 in mouse serum and other body fluids or to determine its concentration. To prepare an immunoadsorbent for the purification of mouse IgG2 from serum or plasma.

Species Reactivity: This IgG fraction is not species-specific since inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antisera to immunoglobulins. Cross-reactivity of this product has not been tested in detail.
ApplicationsPrecipitation assays. In immunoelectrophoresis use 2 μl or equivalent against 120 μl antiserum. In double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) use a rosette arrangement with 10 μl antiserum in a 3 mm diameter centre well and 2 μl serum samples (neat and diluted) in 2 mm diameter peripheral wells.
StorageThe lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4°C; prolonged storage at or below -20°C.Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the antiserum. Diluted antiserum should be stored at +4°C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day.

1.单克隆抗体的优点:
(1)杂交瘤可以在体外“永久”地存活并传代,只要不发生细胞株的基因突变,就可以不断的生产高特异性、高均一性的抗体.

2.单克隆抗体的局限性:
(1)单克隆抗体固定的亲和性和局限的生物活性限制了它的应用范围.由于单克隆抗体不能进行沉淀和凝集反应,所以很多检测方法不能用单克隆抗体完成.
(2)单克隆抗体的反应强度不如多克隆抗体.
(3)制备技术复杂,而且费时费工,所以单克隆抗体的价格也较高.
