Description
Stanozolol is a synthetic anabolic steroid derived from dihydrotestosterone that is clinically used to treat anemia and angioedema. Stanozolol binds progestin receptors, activates aromatase, and only weakly binds androgen receptors. Stanozolol increases phosphorylation of estrogen receptors and increases proliferation of growth plate chondrocytes. This compound also increases muscle weight in animal models and is used off-label by many athletes.
